I love landscapes because they provide me an opportunity to find a story in nature. It is the journey into the landscape that is most appealing to me. The moment that nature reveals all its fascinating beauty is the most fulfilling part of my Landscape Photography.

From Cambodia to Myanmar and Thailand to Laos, I love shooting "Spritual" Photography and the highlight of much this subject matter is the monks. Whether it is at a temple or at a festival, shooting monks always involves spending time hanging out and chatting with the novice monks. And in this day and age I find myself trading emails and providing website info to my new friends!

I am genuinely curious about people I have never met and can connect with them in just a few minutes when I place myself in an environment where I allow their energy to speak to me. The result is an image that captures the essence of a subject's expression. I prefer Portrait Photography where I show the subject in all their surroundings, where they are alive in their element. For me this is the most fulfilling aspect of Portrait Photography and allows me to appreciate being alone in someone else's world - where the world comes alive through their eyes.
